Chinese tech giant Xiaomi has announced the upgraded Xiaomi Iron Egg equipped with protective features for walking and carrying the dog.
According to a document released by Xiaomi Robot Lab, the Xiaomi Tidan robot dog has ushered in an OTA upgrade. It now supports dog walking gait, dog carrying guard functions and App Quick Connect function.
The Iron Egg’s gait in this mode will mirror the gait of a walking dog in the real world, as the name suggests.
Depending on the situation, the carrier dog’s protective function will be handled differently. When the user picks up the Iron Egg in dog walking mode, the Iron Egg immediately stops working. The Iron Egg will start running once it is placed back on the ground.
When picked up in run mode, the iron egg will immediately stop moving, but when placed on the ground, it will stay still.
It should also be noted that the Xiaomi Iron Egg has just passed 10 tests and was able to unlock the gas detection capability. According to tests, iron millet eggs can “smell” of vinegar, soy sauce, Pu’er tea, coffee, mixed juice, garlic, onion, orange, coriander and even a bowl of snail powder.
Xiaomi founder Lei Jun revealed earlier this month that the Xiaomi Iron Egg project was awarded this year’s $1 million technology prize. Xiaomi’s first-generation bionic quadruped robot, CyberDog, was reportedly launched in August last year.
Iron Dan has a bionic walk as well as a bionic visual and audio experience. It has a high-precision environmental perception system, as well as 11 high-precision sensors distributed throughout the body. The total cost is 9999 yuan.
In recent times, the Chinese tech giant has expanded its AI industry and been one of the global leaders, this can be seen in their CyberDog, Xiaomi Mi Robot Vacuum Mop 2 Pro among others.
