‘Westworld’ Season 4: Ariana DeBose Will Recur – Watch New Trailer (VIDEO) | Features

The latest trailer for HBO sci-fi epic Westworld revealed the highly anticipated premiere date for the fourth season – and revealed a Oscar winner as a recurring guest.

Originally released as an easter egg for Westworld fans to find out, the new teaser (see below) went live Monday night, revealing a Sunday, June 26 premiere. It also offers a quick overview of Ariana DeBose; no details were given about his character. The clip, set to Lou Reed’s “Perfect Day,” begins calmly, with sweeping shots of a dystopian New York City as we check in with various characters from the show. Then things get a little crazy.

A shot of a man in bloody black gives way to burning trees, violent shootings, disturbing experiences, people waltzing through the streets and swarms of flies. The fourth season is described as “a dark odyssey into the fate of sentient life on earth”.

It’s been more than two years since Westworld completed its third season, which saw Newton’s Maeve and Paul’s Caleb defeat the villainous Serac (Vincent Cassel). Season 3 also seems to have killed off Harris’ Man In Black at the hands of his android alter ego, created by Thompson’s Chalores – the Charlotte Hale/Dolores hybrid.

“You’re going to see new worlds that I find really fun,” said co-creator Lisa Joy. DeadlineThe nation of heroes podcast last year. She also hinted at a crossover with her directorial debut Reminiscencereleased in 2021. “You’re gonna see someone I kidnapped Reminiscence in a funny way.”

Joy co-created Westworld with Jonathan Nolan. The pair serve as executive producers alongside Alison Schapker, Denise Thé, JJ Abrams, Athena Wickham, Richard J. Lewis and Ben Stephenson. The series is produced by Kilter Films and Bad Robot Productions in association with Warner Bros. TV.
