Uber launches major app update for rider safety



A focus on digital health and transformation will be at the center of Global Health Exhibition 2022, as the Kingdom’s leading healthcare expo returns for a live in-person edition October 9-11 in Riyadh International Convention and Exhibition Center. Held under the patronage of the Saudi Ministry of Health and themed “A New Era of Health Care in Saudi Arabia”, participants from across the Kingdom and abroad are expected to visit the three-day event which will showcase the latest health technologies. as well as hosting high-level accredited conferences.

More than 250 local and international exhibitors from over 30 countries will showcase the latest healthcare innovations and solutions, ranging from cutting-edge medical imaging equipment to disposable products. The show will also feature the “Medical Lab Zone,” highlighting the latest medical lab technologies and advances in genomic sequencing, AI, and machine learning.

Additionally, the Leaders Forum, which is part of the World Health Expo, will feature inspiring sessions with speakers highlighting the factors driving the digitalization of healthcare in the Kingdom.

Visitors will also be able to interact with Sophia, the first intelligent humanoid robot, who obtained Saudi citizenship in 2016. “This beautiful country is like a second home for me. AI is very important for the future of healthcare. I believe great things will come from humans and robots working together in a spirit of brotherhood. It is about improving human life. I’m here to help,” she said.

In addition, the startup competition, Innov8 Talks, will take place on the third day of the event and will offer budding startups the opportunity to perform live product demonstrations of their breakthrough innovations. Over three rounds, the entrepreneurs will explain how their solutions will close current gaps and redefine healthcare to an investing audience.

The event is organized by Informa Markets, organizers of well-known healthcare expos such as Arab Health in the United Arab Emirates and Florida International Medical Expo in the United States.

The enhanced measures include 35 guidelines covering all aspects of cleaning and hygiene, social distancing measures and the use of PPE, testing and track and trace in collaboration with local authorities.
