The National Higher Education Fund Corporation (PTPTN) has launched its own mobile app yesterday for the convenience of approximately 3.63 million borrowers and 5.28 million Simpan SSPN depositors. Called ‘myPTPTN‘, the application is now available on the Google Play Store as well as the Apple App Store.
Speaking at the launch yesterday, Higher Education Minister Datuk Seri Dr. Noraini Ahmad said she was optimistic about the app, which integrates all PTPTN facilities into one system. Therefore, it is hoped that the app can ensure that PTPTN’s service delivery to customers will always be at the best level.
Noraini further explained that the myPTPTN app can provide opportunities for the community to access agency services anytime and anywhere. As reported by Bernama, the app allows customers to view loan statements, repay the loan as well as view Simpan SSPN’s statement and deposits.
Meanwhile, PTPTN Managing Director Ahmad Dasuki Abdul Majid said the agency had been in discussions with various quarters to develop the app, especially to gain expertise related to technology and consumer safety. . Among those consulted are the Ministry of Higher Education and the Malaysian Administrative Modernization and Management Planning Unit (MAMPU).
Additionally, the launch of the app also coincided with PTPTN’s 25th anniversary this year. Dasuki stressed that the decision to develop and release the app was to ensure that the agency would be on par with other financial institutions in terms of digital facilities.
