Tokyo [Japan]May 13 (ANI): At an industrial robot expo held in Tokyo, Kawasaki Heavy Industries caught the eye by developing a humanoid robot that functions like humans outside factories.
It is a humanoid robot that is supposed to work in high-level space.
“Kawasaki Heavy Industries is the first manufacturer in Japan to produce industrial robots, licensed in 1968 from Unimation in the United States. It has a history of over 50 years since then, and I am proud of the technological capability that is cultivated over a very long history,” said Seiji Amazawa, a representative of Kawasaki Heavy Industries.
“We have Group Vision 2030, which uses robotic technology in two areas: safety and security in remote societies and mobility of the future. In the area of safety and security of the remote society, we expose the “HINOTORI”, a Medic-aid or surgical support robot,” Amazawa said.
“Through the development process, we are developing a robot which has the operability of satisfying the doctor’s demand while receiving opinion from different doctors. So far, it has already been used in about 150 surgeries. There are an inspection system that automates PCR testing in the corona pandemic with a robot, and results can be received very quickly by automatically inspecting samples brought in by human labor,” Amazawa added.

Kawasaki Heavy Industries is also developing a system that remotely controls factory robots.
“We will provide a platform with the concept that workers in a remote workplace can work using robots. This is just a demonstration. We will sort balls of two different colors,” said said Amazawa.
“This time, we provide such an experiential demonstration where you can work in a remote location, such as operating a robot from the living room at home to work with a robot in a factory,” Amazawa added.
“In the global robot industry, 90% of the global market is outside Japan, so we are very focused on overseas markets such as China, the United States and Europe. In this exhibition, we offer a service robot for future life. But it’s still mostly industrial robots to be installed and used in factories,” Amazawa explained.
“We have the slogan” from industrial robot manufacturers to complete robot manufacturers “. This complete robot manufacturer concept penetrates the operating robots in this exhibition, such as various delivery robots and remote control robots. We believe that it there will be more scenes where robots leave the factory and work in various places outside the factory in the future,” Amazawa said.
Kawasaki’s robotic technology aims to create coexistence between robots and human beings. (ANI)
