Focus Features Sets Summer Release – Deadline

Focus Features will open its acquisition of Sundance Brian and Charles June 17.

David Earl and Chris Hayward wrote the screenplay and also starred. Rupert Majendie produced for Mr Box Productions. Brian and Charles also stars Louise Brealey, James Michie and Nina Sosanya. Archer, who also edited the film, developed and co-financed the film with Film4 and the BFI. The EPs are Damian Jones, Mary Burke for the BFI, and Lauren Dark and Ollie Madden for Film4. Archer previously cut his teeth doing comedy sketches with friends before writing and directing several short films that ended up gold at the Young Director Awards in Cannes for the short version of Brian and Charles.

Coming soon for Focus Features, Mark Rylance’s film The clothe on March 18, the genre title Noomi Rapace You won’t be alone the 1st of April, The man from the north April 22 and Downton Abbey: A New Era May 20.
